Primary Sports Day: 18th May 2011
Today we had Primary Sports Day. All the children wore their House colours - Phoenix red, Pegasus Blue, and Dragon yellow - and many parents came to cheer and help and join in. It was great fun! In the morning there were trials of jumping and running and racing, and in the late morning and afternnon we had races - egg and spoon, running, fancy dress, and more! In between, parents and teachers made a delicious barbecue of hamburgers, Korean barbecued meat, and chicken kebabs!
Mr. Kohll took part in the teachers egg and spoon race - and came last. One Year 1 student reported: "Mr. Kohll walk, run, fall down, walk, run, fall down, walk, run, fall down, then the egg broke!"
However, many other members of Year 1 were more successful. Miss Helen and Miss Lulu were very helpful in organising and helping the children, Miss Lucey helped with the barbecue, and many of the parents also helped with the children. Thanks to all of them!
The children worked hard and should be very proud of themselves! Many of them got medals, as you can see from the photographs. And we are very proud of the fact that Hong Woo Bin was chosen as one of the two best boys of the school. Well done, Woo Bin!
We hope you enjoy seeing these photos and videos of Year 1 and other classes competing and having fun. It was a great day!
